Terms of service
Last updated: 21 July 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service explain the rules that apply when you visit peachunicorndesigns.com, create an account, download a free pattern or purchase a product or service.
The website is operated by:
Vivienne Harding trading as Peach Unicorn Designs
81 Whitworth Terrace
Spennymoor
Co Durham
DL16 7LF
England
Email: sales@peachunicorndesigns.com
In these terms, “Peach Unicorn Designs”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Vivienne Harding trading as Peach Unicorn Designs. “You” and “your” refer to the person using the website or placing an order.
By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and the policies referred to within them.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
2. Our products and services
Peach Unicorn Designs primarily sells:
- Digital knitting patterns
- Digital crochet patterns
- Free digital patterns
- Pattern bundles
- Personalised name panels
- Custom pattern-related services
- Other digital knitting and crochet resources
Unless a product listing expressly states otherwise, products are supplied as digital PDF files. No physical product, finished blanket, knitted item, crocheted item, yarn or equipment will be posted to you.
The photographs shown on product pages illustrate items that can be made using the patterns. They do not represent physical products included with your purchase.
3. Product information
We take reasonable care to describe each product accurately, including its:
- Craft type
- Skill level
- Construction method
- Finished size
- Materials and equipment
- Terminology
- File format
- Personalisation options
- Included pattern content
Please read the complete product description before ordering.
Pattern results can vary depending on yarn choice, tension, hook or needle size, substitutions, individual technique and any changes made by the maker. Finished sizes and yarn quantities are therefore approximate unless stated otherwise.
Colours may appear differently depending on your screen settings, photography and the yarn selected.
If a product is materially different from its listing description, please contact us in accordance with our Digital Download & Refund Policy.
4. Placing an order
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- The information you provide is complete and accurate.
- You are legally capable of entering into a contract.
- You are purchasing for lawful purposes.
- You have checked that the selected product is the pattern or service you intended to order.
- You understand that digital pattern purchases do not include a physical or finished product.
- You accept these Terms of Service and the policies referred to during checkout.
An order is accepted when we send an order confirmation or make the purchased digital content available to you.
We may contact you if information required to fulfil an order is missing, unclear or appears incorrect.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown on the website in the currency displayed to you and include applicable taxes where required.
The total payable amount will be shown at checkout before you complete the order.
Payment is processed through Shopify and the payment provider selected at checkout. We do not normally receive or store your complete payment-card details.
We may change prices for future purchases at any time. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted.
If an obvious pricing or technical error affects an order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. We will not cancel or alter an accepted consumer order merely because a price later changes.
6. Discounts and promotional offers
Discounts, bundles and promotional offers are subject to any conditions displayed with the offer.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- Discounts apply only during the advertised period.
- Eligibility requirements must be met within the same order.
- Free products do not count as paid qualifying products.
- Only eligible products are included.
- Discount codes and automatic discounts may not be combined.
- Discounts cannot normally be applied retrospectively to a completed order.
If a discount should have applied but did not, please contact us before placing the order where possible.
We may correct or withdraw a promotion affected by an error, misuse or technical problem, but this will not affect statutory rights or accepted orders except where permitted by law.
7. Digital delivery
Digital delivery is free.
Purchased pattern files and download links are made available electronically after checkout and are normally also sent to the email address provided with your order.
Please ensure that your email address is correct before completing checkout.
Delivery will normally take place within a few minutes, but please allow up to 20 minutes. If the email does not arrive, check your junk or spam folder before contacting us.
Further information is available in our Digital Delivery Policy.
8. Immediate digital delivery and cancellation rights
Digital patterns are normally supplied immediately after checkout.
Where required by law, before immediate delivery begins you will be asked to:
- Request delivery during the applicable cancellation period; and
- Acknowledge that your right to cancel may be lost once access to or delivery of the digital content begins.
Your order confirmation will record the consent and acknowledgement collected during checkout.
If you contact us before accessing, downloading or receiving the digital content, we will consider the cancellation request in accordance with your applicable consumer rights.
Digital content that is faulty, incomplete, inaccessible or materially different from its description remains covered by your statutory rights and our Digital Download & Refund Policy.
9. Personalised and custom orders
For a personalised or custom order, you are responsible for checking all information submitted, including:
- Names
- Dates
- Wording
- Capitalisation
- Spelling
- Stitch counts
- Row counts
- Measurements
- Selected blanket or pattern
- Any other custom instructions
We will normally create the personalised content using the information supplied with the order.
If information is missing, inconsistent or unclear, we may contact you and pause the work until the required details are confirmed.
Work may begin shortly after an order is received. Cancellation rights for personalised or custom work may be affected once work has begun, as explained in our Digital Download & Refund Policy and as permitted by applicable law.
If we make an error that does not match the information you supplied, please contact us so that we can correct it.
A change requested after work has begun may be treated as a new or additional service and may require an additional payment.
10. Pattern licence and permitted use
All patterns and pattern-related files remain the intellectual property of Peach Unicorn Designs or the identified rights holder.
Unless a product listing or separate written licence expressly states otherwise, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to:
- Download and store the pattern for your own use.
- Print a reasonable number of copies for your own use.
- Use the pattern to make items for yourself.
- Use the pattern to make items to give as personal gifts.
Purchasing or downloading a pattern does not transfer its copyright or ownership to you.
11. Prohibited use of patterns
Unless you have our prior written permission, you must not:
- Copy or reproduce a pattern for another person.
- Share, email, upload or distribute a pattern or any substantial part of it.
- Resell, rent, sublicense or commercially distribute a pattern.
- Publish a pattern online or in print.
- Translate and distribute a pattern.
- Convert a pattern into another format for distribution.
- Include a pattern within another product, course, kit, book or collection.
- Remove copyright notices or present the pattern as your own.
- Use pattern text, charts, diagrams, photographs or other protected content to create a competing pattern or commercial resource.
- Use the pattern or its protected content to train an artificial-intelligence system or create machine-generated pattern products.
- Use the pattern to manufacture items for sale unless the product listing or a separate written licence expressly permits commercial use.
These restrictions apply to paid and free patterns. A free price does not mean that the pattern is free from copyright or licensing restrictions.
Please contact sales@peachunicorndesigns.com if you would like permission for a use not covered by the standard licence.
12. Finished items and maker responsibility
Knitting and crochet involve individual choices and techniques. You are responsible for:
- Selecting suitable yarn and materials.
- Checking tension and finished measurements.
- Following manufacturer safety and care information.
- Ensuring that buttons, fastenings, embellishments and other components are securely attached.
- Assessing whether a finished item is suitable for its intended recipient and use.
- Providing appropriate supervision where a finished item is used by or near a baby or child.
A pattern is a set of making instructions. It is not a certification that every item made from it will comply with a particular safety, labelling or commercial-product standard.
If you make an item for sale under a separately permitted licence, you are responsible for any laws, safety requirements, labelling obligations, insurance and taxes applicable to that activity.
Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Free patterns
Free patterns are supplied under the same copyright and permitted-use restrictions as paid patterns unless expressly stated otherwise.
No refund is available for a product supplied free of charge. However, if a free file is faulty or inaccessible, please contact us and we will do our best to provide a working replacement.
We may amend, replace or discontinue a free product at any time. This does not affect a copy you have already lawfully downloaded, subject to its licence terms.
14. Customer accounts
You may be able to create a customer account, although an account may not be required for every purchase.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information.
- Keeping login details secure.
- Preventing unauthorised use of your account.
- Informing us if you suspect that an account has been accessed without permission.
We may suspend access to an account where reasonably necessary to protect customers, investigate suspected fraud or misuse, or comply with legal obligations.
Information submitted through the website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
15. Reviews, comments and customer content
If you submit a review, photograph, comment or other content, you confirm that:
- It is based on your genuine experience.
- It is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You have the right to submit it.
- It does not infringe another person’s copyright, privacy or other rights.
- It is not unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, fraudulent or misleading.
- It does not contain malicious software, spam or unauthorised advertising.
You retain ownership of content you create.
By submitting content for publication, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and format that content for operating and promoting Peach Unicorn Designs. This permission continues for content already used unless withdrawal is required by applicable law or separately agreed.
We may moderate, decline or remove content where reasonably necessary, including content that violates these terms. We do not promise to publish every submission.
Please do not include private or sensitive personal information in a public review.
16. Website content and intellectual property
The website and its original content—including pattern text, charts, photographs, illustrations, graphics, branding, logos, page copy and downloadable files—are protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual-property laws.
You may browse the website and use its content for personal, non-commercial purposes connected with considering or using our products.
You must not copy, scrape, republish, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative commercial material from website content without permission, except where permitted by law.
Ordinary links to public pages on the website are welcome, provided they are not misleading and do not suggest an endorsement or partnership that does not exist.
17. Acceptable use of the website
You must not:
- Use the website for an unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, customer accounts or connected systems.
- Introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code.
- Interfere with the website’s security or operation.
- Scrape, harvest or collect personal information from the website.
- Use automated systems in a way that places an unreasonable burden on the website.
- Submit false or misleading information.
- Impersonate another person.
- Infringe our rights or the rights of another person.
- Use the website to distribute spam or harmful material.
We may take reasonable action to protect the website, customers and business where these rules are breached.
18. Third-party services and links
The website is hosted by Shopify and uses third-party services to provide functions such as payments, digital delivery, analytics, reviews and email communications.
The website may also contain links to external websites, including Pinterest, social platforms, video tutorials and service providers.
We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of external websites that we do not control. Your use of an external service may be governed by that provider’s own terms and policies.
This does not affect any responsibility we have for selecting and using service providers in accordance with applicable law.
19. Website availability and changes
We aim to keep the website and digital-delivery services available, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.
Access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, security work, technical problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may update the website, correct errors, improve patterns, change available features or discontinue products. Changes will not remove rights already acquired under an accepted order.
Where an updated pattern file is available, we may provide it to previous purchasers, but we do not promise that every future revision or additional edition will be supplied without charge.
20. Errors and pattern support
We take reasonable care when producing and testing patterns. However, an occasional typographical, formatting or instruction error may occur.
If you believe a pattern contains an error, please contact us with:
- The pattern name
- The relevant page, row or round
- A description of the issue
- Your order number, where applicable
We will investigate and, where appropriate, provide clarification, a correction, an updated file or another remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Pattern support is intended to clarify the supplied instructions. It does not include teaching every required technique, adapting the complete pattern to different sizes or materials, or creating an alternative design unless separately agreed.
21. Faulty digital content and refunds
Paid digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for a particular purpose made known to us where applicable, and as described.
If digital content is faulty, inaccessible, incomplete or materially different from its description, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund in accordance with applicable law.
Please see our Digital Download & Refund Policy for instructions on requesting help or a refund.
Nothing in these terms or the Digital Download & Refund Policy limits your statutory consumer rights.
22. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed or that result from information, choices or changes supplied by you, except where the law provides otherwise.
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Breach of statutory consumer rights
- Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited
If you use a consumer product for business or commercial purposes outside any permission expressly granted, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, opportunity or business interruption, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
23. Events outside our reasonable control
We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as widespread internet or hosting failures, payment-network disruption, cyber incidents, natural disasters or government restrictions.
If such an event affects an order, we will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect and provide the digital product or another appropriate remedy as soon as reasonably possible.
This section does not affect statutory consumer rights.
24. Privacy and cookies
Our collection and use of personal information are explained in our Privacy Policy.
Our website uses required cookies and, where permitted by your choices, optional analytics, personalisation and marketing technologies.
You can manage non-essential cookie categories through the website’s cookie preferences.
25. Ending or restricting access
You may stop using the website at any time.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary because of:
- A serious or repeated breach of these terms
- Fraudulent or unlawful activity
- Misuse of digital files or intellectual property
- Attempts to compromise website security
- A legal or regulatory requirement
Terms which by their nature are intended to continue—including intellectual-property, licence, payment and liability provisions—will remain applicable after access ends.
Restricting website access does not remove either party’s rights or responsibilities arising from an existing order.
26. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes in our products, website, business practices or legal obligations.
The current version will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
Changes will apply from the published effective date and will not retrospectively remove rights relating to an order already accepted.
27. If part of these terms is unenforceable
If a court or relevant authority decides that part of these terms is unlawful or unenforceable, that part will be treated as removed or adjusted only to the extent necessary.
The remaining terms will continue to apply.
28. No waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these terms, this does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.
29. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom or another country, you retain the protection of any mandatory consumer laws that apply to you.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, but consumers may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts where they live where applicable law permits.
Please contact us first if a dispute arises so that we have an opportunity to investigate and try to resolve it.
