**FREE CANCER SUPPORT LAP BLANKET KNITTING PATTERN **

This blanket was designed and made for my much loved friend. I would like to share this pattern so you can show your love and support to your loved one through their hard time. The finished blanket is a good size for travelling to and from hospital appointments or just to keep in the house for comfort. 

 

Plain or intarsia (multi-coloured) - both versions are in the pattern.

Suitable for an Intermediate level.

You need to know how to do the following knitting stitches:

Knit, Purl & Bobble stitch. (Intarsia) 

The 22 page pattern, includes a 6 page chart for Intarsia and a 6 page chart of the main pattern, as well as written instructions for both the plain and Intarsia versions. 

Blanket is made up in One - Piece.

Blanket and border are knit at the same time, so no sewing or picking up stitches!

 

The words on the blanket are; 

Love, Faith, Fight, Cure, Family, Courage, Cherish, Peace, Believe, Friends, Strength, Conquer, Hope and Support.  Plus a blank centre square to place your cancer ribbon. 

  

Finished Blanket Size; 72 x 45 inches (182cm x 114cm).

 

Materials used in One Colour Blanket.

Caron Simply Soft Yarn (weight 4 yarn) (170g Balls) 

  • 10 Balls of White #9701 (1553g used).

- 5.00mm Knitting Needles (UK 6) (US 8)

- Ribbon of your colour choice for the centre of the blanket.

 Caron Simply Soft Yarn (weight 4 yarn) (170g Balls) 

  • 2 balls of Baby Sunshine #9785 (284g used)
  • 2 balls of Light Country Peach #9737 (276g used) 
  • 2 balls of Off White #9702 (219g used)
  • 1 ball of Soft Blue #9712 (163g used)
  • 2 balls of Soft Green #9739 (293g used) 
  • 2 balls of Soft Pink #9719 (318g used)

- 5.00mm Knitting Needles (UK 6) (US 8).

- Ribbon of your colour choice for the centre of the blanket.
